The Impact of Immigration on the United States

The immigration attorneys at Nankin & Verma PLLC have worked tirelessly to forward comprehensive immigration reform efforts for the past decade. Walking the halls of Congress, speaking with community leaders, and educating our political leaders on the nuances of immigration law has not been an easy task, but has certainly been necessary. The current state of legislation and regulation is grossly misaligned from what the United States needs with respect to solid, workable, and humane immigration reform. Reforms are needed in all areas of immigration, including business immigration, family immigration, and detention and deportation practices.

Don’t take our word for it. A group of business leaders, politicians, and religious leaders have come together to form the Partnership for a New American Economy. Founded by Michael Bloomberg, former New York City mayor, and Rupert Murdoch, executive chairman of News Corp and 21st Century Fox, the parent company of Fox News Network LLC, in 2010, the goal of this coalition is to provide insight to the economic benefits of immigration and push for practical solutions to business immigration, such as lifting the cap numbers on H-1B visas.

The Partnership for a New American Economy has recently issued reports that show how immigration has impacted the economies of all 50 states in the United States, and the District of Columbia. To learn more about the reports, click on this link: http://www.renewoureconomy.org/reports/
